SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
In 2022, the Board of Trustees approved a construction contract with MPI Companies (Metro), to complete an overlay on a portion of Erie Parkway from County Line Road to Briggs Street, Phase 2 of the AirPark reconstruction project, and Change Order No. 1 for the Erie Parkway portion. Both pieces of the overall project are complete.

On Dec. 12, 2022, the Board approved Change Order No. 2 for reconstructing portions of Sheridan Boulevard in the amount of $2,342,445.55, with no contingency at that time due to funds available.

Change Order No. 3 is for redesigning the alignment of a segment on northbound Sheridan Parkway to provide a safer lane transition for vehicles. Redesign also includes a revised striping plan to remove inadequately sized on-street bike lanes and install a continuous striped median from Weld County Road 4 to Ridge View Drive. New signage will be installed to direct cyclists to the existing multi-use path along southbound Sheridan.

This change order is for $21,315. Additionally, we are requesting a contingency of $263,300 (approximately 10%) for any unforeseen items, for a total of $284,615.

Cost Summary
Change Order No. 2 $2,342,445.55
Change Order No. 3 $21,315.00
Subtotal $2,363,760.55
Contingency (~10%) $263,300.00
Total $2,627,060.55
