SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
In April 2017 the Board of Trustees authorized a contract with Wenk Associates to complete a master plan and construction documents for the Linear Trail Connection. It has been the Town's and Board of Trustees vision to complete the Linear Trail Connection project. Completion of this will increase trail connectivity, improve circulation and encourage alternative forms of transportation to/from the downtown area. The conceptual master plan was approved by the Board of Trustees on January 23, 2018 and staff was directed to move forward with final construction documents.
The Linear Trial Connection construction documents are now 100% complete and staff is prepared to move forward to the bidding process. Wenk Associates has provided a schedule of probable construction costs in the amount of $ 588,718.50 Below is a schedule of proposed funding:

Parks Impact Fund - already budgeted $ 293,500.00
General Fund - Concrete repair budget 25,000.00
Parks Impact Fund - New Appropriation 270,218.50
$ 588,718.50
Once funds are appropriated the project will move forward with construction beginning in summer 2018.
