Approving the Resolution to award said construction contract, authorizing the appropriate Town officer to execute said contract, to approve said change order, appropriate an additional $31,574 to fund the project, and authorize Staff to expend contracted funds and contingency funds.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The 2016 budget includes funds to repair the Vista Parkway Bridge. Loris and Associates was hired to design a repair to the bridge. Based on their inspection of the bridge, the bridge structure itself is sound, the approach slabs, adjacent concrete walks and columns not attached to the bridge have settled. Vista Parkway is a very important roadway connection, so Loris and Associates investigated ways to complete the repairs and keep the road open. Loris and Associate's recommendation is to use Uretek Deep Injection Technology to raise the approach slabs, adjacent concrete walks and columns that have settled. In addition to this method allowing the roadway to remain open, it is less expensive than reconstructing.
