SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

The 2019 Wastewater Fund Budget has funds appropriated for designing the North Water Reclamation Facility Expansion improvements.

At the June 12, 2018 meeting, the Board of Trustees awarded a contract to HDR Inc. for the North Water Reclamation Facility Master Plan and Preliminary Expansion Design.  As you may recall, at that time staff notified the Board that after the first phase was complete, staff would bring back to the Board a fee for final design. The Master Plan and Preliminary Expansion Design is complete and is being presented tonight under agenda 19-177.

Upon award of the Professional Services Agreement for the design of the North Water Reclamation Facility Expansion, the following tasks will be performed:

Task 1 - Project Management

Task 2 - Data Collection

Task 3 - Preliminary Design and Permitting

Task 4 - Prepare Construction Plans and Specifications

Task 5 - Coordination with Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR)

The attached Professional Services Agreement has a detailed description of the scope of work and what is included with each task.

Staff anticipates selecting a CMAR later this year and bringing the contract to the Board for approval.
