Consideration of Modification to Perimeter Liquor License to Add the 100 Block of Wells Street to the Briggs Entertainment Common Consumption Area to Allow Erie Social Club to Join the Briggs Entertainment Association.
REQUEST:
Approve Modification of Perimeter for Briggs Entertainment Association Common Consumption Area to include the 100 Block of Wells Street to Allow Erie Social Club to Join the Briggs Entertainment Association.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Briggs Entertainment Association submitted a renewal application for the Briggs Entertainment District on December 18, 2025, with the request to add the 100 block of Wells St to the Common Consumption area to allow Erie Social Club to join the association. Erie Social Club submitted an application on January 15, 2026, requesting to be added to the Briggs Entertainment Association. Modifications and additions to Entertainment Districts must go before the Liquor License Authority per 4-8-13(G)(2) of the Erie Municipal Code. The applicants posted Notice of Public Hearing posters on this matter on February 14, 2026, and publication was made in Hometown Weekly on February 11, 2026.
