Council must approve agreements of more than $100,000. This is to decide whether to expend budgeted funds for a contract amendment to allow the design engineer of record to provide design support services during construction.

SUMMARY/KEY POINTS
* The original Agreement for Professional Services with Consor exceeds $100,000, so amendments to this agreement must also be approved by Council.
* Approving the 2nd amendment allows Consor to receive final payment for finishing the 100% design and provide design support services during the construction phase of the project.
BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
A 2020 study prepared by Fox Tuttle Transportation Group identified traffic operational, safety, and pedestrian accessibility concerns at this intersection. The intersection is located within the boundaries of both the Town of Erie and City of Lafayette (Lafayette).
The Town and Lafayette have an Intergovernmental Agreement to share the cost for the design and construction based on a 25% Lafayette, and 75% Town cost share.
