SUMMARY/KEY POINTS
* In accordance with FAA regulations, Erie selects a new consultant of record for the airport every five years.
* The current consultant contract ends Dec. 31, 2025.
BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Town of Erie solicited qualification-based statement of qualifications (SOQ) for the selection of a principal airport consultant to provide engineering services on an as-needed basis for Erie Municipal Airport (EIK) ("Airport") for the next five years.
The Town plans to award a five-year contract for these engineering services, subject to review on an annual basis, for all engineering projects subject to federal assistance under the Airport and Airway Improvement Act of 1982, as amended, or other sources of funding.
Airport related projects at the Airport may include, but are not limited to, the following proposed projects:
* Pavement Maintenance
* Construct Apron, Taxilanes, and Taxiways
* Rehabilitate Apron, Taxilanes, and Taxiways
* Runway Rehabilitation
* Hangar Development
* RSA Drainage Improvements
* Airfield Lighting and Navaid Rehabilitation
The selection process is in compliance with FAA Advisory Circular AC-150/5100-14E, "Architectural Engineering and Planning Consultant Services for Airport Grant Projects."
