SUMMARY/KEY POINTS
* The pedestrian bridge project connecting Colliers Hill to Historic Downtown Erie through Coal Creek Park has been in discussion for the past few years.
* The project is anticipated to last from August 2025 to April 2026.
* Benesch & Company will provide daily construction management, inspection services, bridge fabrication review, and oversee the structural conformance and erection of the ped bridge over Coal Creek on behalf of the Town of Erie.

BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Earlier this year, Town staff solicited proposals for Construction Management Services to assist in providing adequate oversight for various on-going construction projects within the Town. Four firms were selected to provide the on-call services. Benesch & Company was identified as one of the four firms selected.

Staff contacted Benesch & Company to request a cost for construction oversight services based on the hourly rates identified in the Construction Management Services proposal. Staff coordinated with Benesch on the anticipated effort necessary for services. The work will include daily oversi...
