SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The State has lifted restrictions on in-person indoor meetings and as of June 3, 2021 the State is reporting 72.7% of the eligible population in Boulder County and 54.3% in Weld County is immunized with 1 or more does of any COVID-19 vaccine. See this link <https://covid19.colorado.gov/vaccine-data-dashboard> for details. Immunizations have dramatically reduced the number of COVID infections in Colorado.
This makes it possible for the Board of Trustees and Advisory Boards to return to having fully “in-person” meetings. However, conducting virtual Board meetings over the past 15 months has demonstrated both advantages and disadvantages to having some or all meeting participants attend virtually. To assist the Board in deciding how Board meetings will be conducted and when changes in meeting format should be implemented, staff has explored what it would take to implement in-person and hybrid meeting format options and outlined the pros and cons in the attached summary.
If the Board wants to start having Board meeting in person with a hybrid format, staff asks for sufficient time to complete testing on hybrid logistics and finalize implementation details.
