Summary and Background of Subject Matter:

At the December 9, 2008 Board of Trustees meeting, the Board adopted a Pavement Management Policy and Criteria. Per the Board’s direction at that time, staff prepared a policy for maintenance and/or reconstruction of dedicated streets that were not built to the Town’s Standards and Specifications for Design and Construction of Public Improvements 2004 Edition (Revised 2006).

The Town reevaluated its current pavement management policy and proposes to vacate this policy. By vacating it, the Town will include all non-private streets in the Pavement Management System and as funds are available, look to making improvements to bring the streets up to standards.

Fiscal Impact: The annual Streets Capital Budget allows for maintenance of roads throughout Town. Including all non-private streets, staff will evaluate roads on an annual basis and identify projects as funds are available to bring roads up to Town standards.

Board Priority(s) Addressed:

                     Well-Maintained Transportation Infrastructure
