SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
House Bill 19-1087 amended C.R.S. § 24-6-402 to encourage local governments to transition from posting physical notices of public meetings in physical locations to posting notices electronically on a website. A local public body is deemed to have given full and timely notice of a public meeting if the notice is posted on its official website at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. This resolution will designate www.erieco.gov <http://www.erieco.gov> as the official posting location for all meeting notices. In the event an online notice is not possible due to emergency circumstances, the alternate posting place is a bulletin board at Erie Town Hall. Electronic posting will support one of the Urban Renewal Authority work plan priorities: sustainability.
