Body

DEPARTMENT:  Public Works

PRESENTER:  Todd Fessenden, Public Works Director,

Chad Schroeder, Development Engineering Supervisor

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

The Town of Erie in 2018 partnered with Boulder County, Weld County and the City of Longmont to create a master plan for a 12-mile corridor along East County Line Road between Cheesman Street/Jay Road in Erie to SH 66 in Longmont.  The effort has yielded fourteen conceptual improvement projects along the corridor with five in the Town of Erie.  These projects will be presented to the public in virtual open houses on the following dates:  Longmont (Dec 15), Erie (Dec 16), and Boulder/Weld Counties (Dec 17), all from 4:30-6:00 PM.  Staff from the respective jurisdictions along with project consultants will give brief presentations of the jurisdiction’s projects and take public comments and questions.  Information on the Erie Open House will be sent out in the Town Administrator’s Weekly Update.

The five Town of Erie Projects along East County Line Road include the following intersections:

                     SH 52

Bridge over Coal Creek for Kenosha Road

                     Kenosha Road and WCR 10½

Bridge over Coal Creek for County Line Road

                     Cheesman Street/Jay Road
