Approve the Resolution, authorizing the appropriate Town officer to execute said amendment and authorize staff to expend budgeted funds.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

 

Background:

At the August 13, 2019 Board Meeting, the Board Authorized the Award of a Professional Services Agreement to Raftelis Financial Consultants for the Water, Wastewater, and Storm Drainage Rate and Fee Study.

 

Since the start of that contract, Raftelis has incurred additional costs associated with updating assumptions and finalizing the rate study in preparation of the Board of Trustees meeting on September 15, 2020. These additional costs include areas for the storm drainage GIS review and analysis, financial planning scenarios, comprehensive rate study review with the Town Administrator, small home review, water dedication fees and validation of customer bill impacts. Rafatelis requested a change order in the amount of $14,900 to complete these items.

 

Fiscal Impact:

The 2020 operational budget has funds in the water, wastewater and storm drainage funds to accommodate this amendment.
