SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Background: The Colorado Association Chiefs of Police (CACP) conducted a re-accreditation process this summer with the Erie Police Department. This process includes an inspection of all aspects of operating the police department, to include written directive reviews, staffing levels, site inspection and fleet.
The Erie PD has been accredited since 2003, with re-accreditation achieved in 2010, 2015 and again in 2020.
