Recommendation
Approve the resolution to enter into said agreement, authorize the appropriate Town officer to execute said agreement, and authorize staff to expend budgeted funds.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The 2020 capital budget includes funds for the street maintenance projects. Bids were requested to complete either a hot applied chip seal (bid as alternate 1) or an overlay (bid as alternate 2) on the following areas:
• County Line Road from Jay Road north approximately 13,200 LF to State Highway 52
• Sunset Drive from Vista Parkway west approximately 2,000 LF to Bonanza Drive
• Skyline Drive from Sheridan Boulevard west approximately 3,300 LF to Mountain View Boulevard
• Vista Parkway from Parkdale Circle west approximately 6,200 LF to County Line Road
• County Road 5 from County Road 6 north approximately 5,300 LF to Erie Parkway
• County Road 7 from Erie Parkway north approximately 15,900 LF to State Highway 52
• Traffic Circle at Vista Parkway and Mountain View Boulevard
After reviewing the bids, Staff recommends proceeding with the overlay option and awarding the contract to Asphalt Specialties Co. Inc. in the amount of $1,488,636.78 with an additional $148,863.22 added for unforeseen items for a total of $1,637,500.
