Recommendation
Approve the Resolution to renew the services agreement, authorize the appropriate Town officer to execute said contract, and authorize Staff to expend contracted funds.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The 2020 operating budget includes funds for contracted mowing and maintenance services in the Town of Erie. These services include mowing, trimming, and debris removal at the South Water Reclamation Facility, Water Treatment Facility, Cemetery, Erie Lake, Northridge Detention and Coal Creek Levee and Highway 7 and Bonanza Drive. This contract allows for a renewal option for up to two consecutive years following the initial award (a total of three years). A renewal occurs when the Town and Contractor/Vendor agree the increased price is no more than 2% of the previous year and previous work performed was satisfactory.
Staff requested competing bids for this service in 2019 and received only one bid. Staff recommends renewing the contract with CoCal Landscape. CoCal Landscape has successfully completed this service for the Town of Erie in previous years.
