SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Boulder County Clerk and Recorder has requested a stand-alone mail ballot drop-off box on Town owned property, located at 777 Flatiron Meadows Boulevard (Star Meadows Park). This box will better serve Boulder County voters during the periods in which ballots can be dropped off via drop-off boxes. The box will be located on the traffic island in the southeast parking lot of the property and will be installed and maintained by a third party approved by Boulder County for a period of 11 years, per the IGA, unless terminated by either party. Video security surveillance recording system required under Colorado Election Code will be located on adjacent property owned by the Boulder Valley School District.
