SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Town of Erie is party to a surface use agreement (SUA) that covered certain property in Weld County that is to the east of Erie Community Park. Approval of this second amendment to the SUA releases approximately 5 acres of land at the Erie Community Park from the previous surface use agreement. With the approval of this agreement, the Town will be able to include these 5 acres into the design and development of the Park.
Although the Erie Community Park Master Plan was approved by the Board of Trustees on January 23, 2018 it will be brought forward again in in the first quarter of 2020 for approval with inclusion of these additional 5 acres.
