Approve the Resolution to enter into said agreement, authorize the appropriate Town officer to execute said agreement, and authorize Staff to expend budgeted funds.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Ehrhart Land Surveying, LLC has completed many survey projects with the Town of Erie over the years. One of those projects was completed in 2005 and was a project to survey quarter section corners and existing monuments for the Town of Erie’s planning area at that time. Since 2005, the planning area for the town has expanded. Erie’s GIS staff continue to use the 2005 data set to input recorded plats such as annexations and subdivisions into the GIS.
The quarter section data is becoming increasingly incomplete and must be updated to expand to our current planning area. Since this data set was originally created by Ehrhart Land Surveying we would like them to continue the work and update our existing data. Obtaining improved quarter sections is preferred as these surveyed corners and monuments are frequently used as the basis for legal descriptions and drawings.
John Ehrhart has quoted the amount of $30,000 to complete this project. We are asking consent of an additional $5,000 for any incidental costs related to completion of this project.
