Update on Oil and Gas Action Items

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The approved Town of Erie Outreach Plan for Oil and Gas Operations identified stakeholder group action items. The Board of Trustees stakeholder group section listed four actions, below is a status update on activities regarding these action items.
Action: Stay appraised of work and with neighboring communities to coordinate oil and gas regulatory efforts.
Status:
• LGD attends local government roundtable meetings.
• LGD participates on COGCC SB 181 training calls.
• LGD coordinated COGCC listening session in Erie.
Action: Increase utilization of technical consultants under direction of LGD.
Status:
• CGRS is reviewing available records regarding active spill/release reports and subsequent remediation projects and will provide a status summary for each location.

o Additional sites will be added to this list as needed.
• CGRS will conduct a general regulatory compliance assessment and provide a summary of findings regarding the following locations:
o Crestone Peak Resources; Morgan Hills 1A-7H-A168
o KP Kauffman Company; SRC Pratt/41-29D
• CGRS will submit necessary COGCC Forms for removal of the partially buried water vessels for the Adams #1 facilities.
o Conduct confirmation soil sampling and soil screening during excavation as needed.
• CGRS continues to review reports the Town receives from COGCC and operators.
• CGRS assists in research regarding detailed specific wells, as inquiries arise.
Action: Draft Erie oil and gas policy statement for Trustees to consider
Status: Adopted by Board 9/24/19
Action: Develop priorities for addressing oil and gas issues including ongoing operations, proposed sites and adjacent development
Status:
• LGD regularly communicates with operators
• LGD submits information to communication division to share information with community
• LGD communicates regularly with internal staff and developers regarding properties in Erie.
• Erie to participate in Air Quality Control Commissions rule making with neighboring municipalities
