SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
As part of a Board of Trustees initiative to bring more art to the Erie community, Erie Parks & Recreation will host the inaugural Erie Art Picnic on July 28th, 2019 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Erie Community Center. Artists of various mediums will be on hand to talk about their art and demonstrate how they create their pieces. Some art will be for sale to the public. The cornerstone of this new event will be our community art project, where attendees can actually have a hand in painting an 8’x4’ mural created by some of our local artists from the Erie Creative Collective. We invite all residents in Erie to join us for these demonstrations, activities for kids, food, drinks, and more.
