SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

The Mountain View Fire Protection District received approval of a Use by Special Review from Weld County on November 7, 2018 for the construction of a Fire Station and Maintenance facility. The site is located in unincorporated Weld County on the east side of WCR No 7 approximately ¾ mi south of Highway 52. Since WCR 7 in this area is within the Town of Erie corporate limits the Fire District is requesting an access permit from the Town.

The proposed temporary access permit would grant the Fire District one access point to WCR No. 7 which will be relocated in the future when the Fire Station is constructed.  At that time, the Temporary Access point will be abandoned as referenced in the Temporary Access Agreement.
