SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
EVENT:
On April 12 at 4:00 p.m., the Parks & Recreation Department will hold an official grand opening of the newest Town of Erie Neighborhood Park - Serene Park and showcase the amenities that encourage active play for all ages. We invite the community to come and see what our newest park has to offer with giveaways and fun activities.
BACKGROUND:
On February 23, 2016 the Board of Trustees authorized the Town to enter into an agreement with Community Development Group (CDG) to share design costs for the Colliers Hill Neighborhood Park #1. On September 13, 2016 staff presented the site master plan to the Board of Trustees and were given approval to proceed with the completion of construction documents.
With the completion of the construction documents an invitation to bid was released on
September 12, 2017. Richdell Construction was selected as the contractor and construction commenced, with substantial completion of the park in early winter of 2018.
