Approve the Resolution to award said contract with Enterprise Leasing Company of Denver and authorize the appropriate Town officer to execute said contract, and authorize Staff to expend contracted fund.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Parks department has an annual need for vehicle rentals to supplement Town-owned fleet vehicles during the spring and summer months. Additional seasonal staff in addition to added workload during these months necessitate more resources so crews can work more effectively in their assigned zones. In previous years, the rental fleet has enabled more efficient zone management and combined with the influx in staff, helps avoid crews having to share vehicles, which result in lost work time in Erie's parks and open spaces. The 2019 approved budget appropriates $29,000 to cover costs for a total of five trucks through the period of April through September. Three companies (Herc, Enterprise, Barco) possessed the initial necessary qualifications to meet the needs of the Parks Division and provided the following pricing:
Enterprise: $27,176.40
Herc: $28,853.00
Barco: $30,972.75
Given the specific needs which limit service providers, the capability to provide local customer care, and the willingness to provide a highly competitive rate, it is in the Town of Erie's best interest to select Enterprise as the preferred provider for vehicle rentals for 2019.
