SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

In 2016 the Parks and Open Space Division of the Parks & Recreation Department was the beneficiary of work completed by the Boulder County Youth Corps through a grant from Great Outdoors Colorado. This was such a successful program that staff has contracted directly with Boulder County Youth Corps for additional open space and trail maintenance the past two years and plans to continue this successful program in 2019. The Parks & Recreation Department operating budget for 2019 includes funds for these staffing services.

Staff are now ready to begin planning to secure dates and assign tasks the Youth Corps staff will complete, this first requires the completion of the inter-governmental agreement with Boulder County Youth Corps. With the approval of the attached resolution the appropriate Town officer can sign the agreement and the process can proceed.
