Staff would appreciate Board review of and confirmation that the detailed descriptions for each Work Plan issue/project reflect the objective/deliverables and milestones that the Board wants to see in 2019.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
During the Board’s January 13, 2019 retreat, the Board adopted a preliminary 2019 Work Plan that (1) lists projects/issues in priority order, (2) budgets the hours of Board meeting time the Board expects to spend on each issue, and (3) reflects the level of community engagement the Board wants to pursue for each issue.
At the January 22, 2019 Board meeting a preliminary list of the detailed descriptions for each issue was presented. Attachments to this agenda item reflect the more detailed objectives/deliverables and milestones for the tasks ad updated by staff. With the Board’s confirmation that these descriptions accurately reflect what the Board wants to see in 2019, staff will move forward with implementation.
