SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

Update regarding oil and gas operations:

-                     An updated draft of the Unified Development Code changes has been posted online along with the communication plan and citizen comment timeline.

-                     On behalf of the COGCC, Mike Leonard and Marc Morton will be hosting a citizen information session on March 21, 2019 at 6:00pm here at Town Hall. They will give COGCC updates, review of oversite and educate citizens about providing comments to them during various stages of oil and gas operations (more details to come).

-                     The Town of Erie staff and Anadarko recently met to discuss future operations in/around Erie as well as new processes for permits and crossing agreements.

-                     Anadarko has recently withdrawn their Type B permit applications for the “Shumaker” 20 well pad site. They have subsequently applied through Weld County for a 12 pad site, known as “Mae J”.  The Mae J site is located on land owned by Anadarko and is not annexed by the Town.

o                     We have updated the oil and gas map on the website.

-                     We are continuing to work with Crestone regarding their application of the Acme pad site. Currently we are working with them towards a “complete” application being submitted to the Town of Erie. Once the application is deemed complete, we will begin the development referral process.
