SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Erie UpLink is a 501(c)3 non-profit in Erie that serves only Erie. Programs are intended to serve the unmet needs of students and families in Erie, those in crisis and those that meet the criteria for free or reduced lunch assistance.
Approval of the grant request in the amount of $5,000 would provide support for ongoing program needs such as supplies for Tiger Packs, the summer lunch program and scholarship for pre-collage counseling. With this grant Erie UpLink can continue to provide services to those in need here in Erie.
This request was submitted after the approval of the 2019 budget and will require an additional 2019 appropriation at first supplemental in the amount of the grant request.
Erie Uplink representatives will provide a brief presentation and be available to answer questions.
