SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
On September 17, 2018 the Erie Community Library and the Erie Historical Society submitted a Community Organization Grant Request Form to the Town Clerk’s Office requesting use of the Mitchell Room at the Erie Community Center for the Annual Local History Series Lectures. This will be the 11th year that the Library and the Historical Society have organized this event. These lectures are to be held on the following dates:
• March 21
• April 18
• May 16
• June 20
• September 20
• October 17
• November 21
During the April 9, 2013 Board of Trustees meeting, the Board approved the amended Policy and Procedures for Grants to the Community Organizations to include criteria for promotion and in-kind support of Town Sponsored and Town Endorsed events. The amended policy allows the Board to consider requests on a case by case basis.
