Approve Resolution authorizing said purchases, authorizing the Town Administrator to execute purchases, and authorizing Staff to expend funds.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

The 2018 supplemental budget includes two new positions for Code Enforcement and a Stormwater Coordinator. With these positions, additional funds were includes for the purchase of a truck for Code Enforcement, however the truck for the Stormwater Coordinator was omitted in error, therefore new appropriation is required. 

 

For Engineering:

                     The Stormwater is a new Toyota Rav4 Hybrid unit for Engineering. The Town received the State Bid from Auto Nation Toyota Arapahoe for $27,034 plus accessories including light bar, graphics, etc from various vendors for $2,250. The total cost for the unit is $29,284. If approved, funds will be added in the 2nd supplemental budget. This unit will take approximately six months to put in service.

 

For Police:

                     The Code Enforcement truck is a 2018 Ford F150. The Town received the State Bid from Sill-TerHar Motors Inc for $32,261.  Other accessories such as animal transport system, light bar, graphics, radio, etc, will be purchased separately from various vendors. This unit will take approximately six months to put in service.

 

Staff received pricing for both units listed above and recommends purchases.
