SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The 2017 Public Works Annual Report conveys undertakings in the Department of Public Works (DPW). DPW uses this report as an educational and reference tool both internally and externally. It is a great opportunity to showcase Public Works, reference what the department does as a whole, use as a budgeting and forecasting tool, and highlight accomplishments in 2017.
Included in this newsletter are articles such as:
? Letter to the Community - A Director's message regarding the department's overall purpose and highlighting some accomplishments.
? Divisions - Administration, Engineering, Erie Municipal Airport, Facilities, Fleet, Streets, Distribution/Collection/Storm, Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, and Meters - A brief overview of each division, statistics, accomplishments, and performance measure information.
? Capital Improvement & General Projects - highlights active 2017 Capital Improvement and General Projects.
? Community Outreach Events - presents some of the public programs and events that DPW hosted including the Annual Open House, Clinics, Clean-Up Program, and Public Works Week.
