SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Per the 2004 Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Town of Erie and the Mountain View Fire Protection District (District), the District is the exclusive provider of fire protection services within the municipal limits of Erie. It has been determined by the District that several properties that have been annexed into Erie still remain within the Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District.
Approval of the attached resolution begins that statutory process of removing the subject properties from the Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District and bringing them into the District.
