SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

The 2013 Water Master Plan identifies the need for a Zone 3, 30-inch and 24-inch transmission waterline from the Water Treatment Plant to the Zone 3 Water Storage Tank Site. The transmission waterline is needed to meet the existing and future demand for water supply to the Town's 1.5-MG and 4-MG water storage tanks for Zone 3, and the Zone 4A pump station.

The 2018 Water Capital Budget has funds appropriated for designing the Zone 3 Waterline Improvements Phase-2.

In 2017, the middle section or Phase 1 of this transmission line was constructed from the intersection of Vista Parkway and County Line Road to Vista Parkway just north of Vista Ridge Subdivision.

The remaining sections will be designed at this time. Town Staff does anticipate that there might be the need to bid the construction in two projects depending upon easement acquisition and permitting requirements.

A Request for Proposal was posted on the Town's website on January 10, 2018 to ensure that local consultants were notified about this project.
