SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
In April 2017 the Board of Trustees authorized a contract with Design Concepts to complete a site master plan and construction documents for the final phase of Erie Community Park. The initial master plan was completed with a self-directed, passive recreation approach and offers the following amenities:
• Fitness Trails
• Plyometric Boulders
• Running Hill
• Small Gathering Spaces
• 2 Basketball Courts
• Great Lawn
• Outdoor Reading Rooms
• Picnic Area with Shade
• Lookout Shelter
• Sensory Gardens
The 2018 cost estimate to complete construction with the above amenities is approximately $2.5 million dollars.
Upon approval of this master plan the construction documents will be completed. With completed documents, Erie Community Park - Final Phase becomes a shovel ready project.
