SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
In order to better serve the residents of Weld County, the Weld County Clerk and Recorders Office has asked to place a permanent mail ballot drop-off box and video surveillance system at the Erie Community Center.
The attached IGA outlines the terms and conditions for the placement, use and surveillance of the box.
The placement of this box would eliminate the need for Weld County to use Town facilities for ballot drop-offs and provide a 24 hour drop off location during County run elections. The proposed location of the box has been approved by the Recreation Department Managers as an acceptable location.
