SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

 

The Town of Erie will be conducting its Regular Municipal Election on April 3, 2018.  The Town has conducted the last six municipal elections as Mail Ballot Elections.  Staff is recommending the 2018 Election be conducted again as a Mail Ballot Election.

 

The Town currently has approximately 16,000 active registered voters.  Ballots will be mailed to all active registered voters.

 

This Resolution approves conducting a Mail Ballot Election on April 3, 2018

                     Adopts section of the Uniform Election Code

                     Establishes Town Hall as the polling place on April 3, 2018

                     Authorizes the Town Clerk to appoint Election Judges for this election
