SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The 2017 Capital Improvement budget includes funds to add card access at the Leon A. Wurl Service Center and fire monitoring, card access and video surveillance at the North Water Reclamation Plant.
Leon A. Wurl Service Center does not currently have a security system, which leaves the facility vulnerable to security breaks. The installation includes fail-secure electric strikes at exterior doors, card readers at select doors, and a surveillance camera at the main lobby. The security hardware and camera will limit the accessibility to the building directing all visitors to the main entrance for proper assistance.
North Water Reclamation Plant (NWRP) does not currently have a fire monitoring or a security system, which leaves the facility vulnerable to fire danger and security breaks.
