SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: On December 13, 2016, the Board of Trustees approved the 2017 Budget which includes an allocation of $30,000.00 for the Downtown Neighborhood Block Parties.

Background: In 2016, the Town contracted with Kelly Enterprises LTD to create, organize and manage three family-friendly events on Friday nights in July that took place on Briggs and Wells Streets in Historic Downtown Erie. This year, we are expanding the event to five nights.

Overview of Event: A family-friendly event for Erie residents in Historic Downtown Erie on Briggs and Wells Street with street closures between Wells and Moffatt creating a "Downtown Neighborhood Block Party."

The Block Parties are scheduled from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The event is hosted by The Town of Erie and organized by Kelly Williams (Kelly Enterprises LTD).

Objectives: Create a community-building event for all Erie residents in Downtown Erie while promoting local businesses, restaurants and breweries.
