SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The 2016 operating budget includes funds for video inspections, cleaning, and debris removal of areas of the collection system main lines. Camera inspections of the sewer system help to ensure the underground utilities are in working order and identify problem areas in need of further maintenance.
On June 14, 2016, the Board awarded the Services Contract to VSR Corporation to perform annual sanitary sewer inspection work. This work has been completed. On March 8, 2016, the Board of Trustees awarded a Services Contract for flow monitoring of areas in the sanitary system. Staff reserved some inspection funds pending the results of the data. Staff has received a few months of data and, as of today no apparent issues have been identified. Staff would like to proceed with Phase 2 of the video inspections for 2016. This includes Meadow Sweet Farms, Country Fields, Country Meadows, and SunWest subdivisions.
