SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Building Permit Monthly Report
The Building Permit Report, Attachment A, indicates the number of new residential building permits issued to date (through August 2016) versus the building permit projections utilized in determining the 2016 budget. The Town issued 21 new residential building permits in August 2016.
For 2016 the Town has issued 283 building permits or 71 percent of the yearly projected total of 400 building permits.
The Building Permit Reports for 2015 and 2014 are attached hereto for comparison.
Attachment B indicates building permits issued in 2016 by development.
Historic Erie Neighborhood Building Permit Fee Waiver
The effective date of the Historic Erie Neighborhood waiver was October 6, 2012.
A total of 5 permits valued at $1,797.25 in fees were waived for the month of August 2016. The cumulative value of fees waived since the inception of the program is $35,208.97. A breakdown of the fees waived in August is attached hereto as Attachment C.
