Approving the Resolution to award said contract, authorizing the appropriate Town officer to execute said contract, authorizing Staff to expend contracted funds and contingency funds.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The 2016 budget includes funds to design and construct improvements to the Zone 3 Water System. A new pipeline is under design to provide a new connection to the east of County Line Road to provide additional capacity to fill the new 4 MG water storage tank. In addition to this connection, another connection is needed at Marfell Drive to the existing 30-inch Zone 3 waterline just east of the Water Treatment Plant. This connection is critical for the zone 3 water system. Zone 3 water system provides water to the Orchard Glenn area and Flatiron Meadows. This new connection will be a second point of connection. Because of the increase building in this area it is critical to make these improvements at this time.
The Town requested costs for this connection from four contractors. The following three contractors submitted bids.

The Town has developed a good working relationship with Fiore & Sons, Inc. who is working on both Erie Parkway widening projects. One between Colliers Hill and Erie Highlands, and the other in front of Flatiron Meadows. They are also working within the Flatiron Meadows Subdivision.
