SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The amended 2016 budget includes funds to upgrade the video detection system on the traffic signal at the Arapahoe Road and 119th Street intersection. Upgrades include the camera detection, processor, heads, and wiring. These upgrades will allow the intersection to have full video detection which provides more efficient signal operation.
Staff requested a quote for this work from W.L. Contractors Inc. The Town uses WL for the annual maintenance agreement and on-call services for all signal repairs. Staff received a quote for $30,283.00 to complete the upgrades. Staff recommends awarding the construction contract for the Arapahoe Road and 119th Street Signal Improvements Project to WL Contractors, in the amount of $30,283.00.
