SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Department was charging a $1.00 per page for case file reports which included the copy service cost to produce these records. In order to comply with the Colorado Open Records Act regarding fees for Criminal Justice Records, it is necessary to amend the current schedule to separate the per copy charge in the amount of $.025 per page and the cost of the service. In addition there has been added a charge for research and retrieval of all other records which is consistent with the fee that the Town charges for all non-criminal justice records.
