SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

The Town entered into a three-year lease agreement in 2020 with Diana Shannon Living Trust for 130 Wells Street in downtown Erie to provide a location for the winter Ice Rink. The Ice Rink will be taken down for the season at the end of February. To continue activating the site, offset the Town’s operating cost, and bring attractive services/businesses to Downtown, and as we did in 2021, the Town will enter into a sub-lease with Ryno Retail, LLC d/b/a Plum Creek Garden Market for three months at a monthly rental amount of $1,670. Plum Creek Garden Market will operate at 130 Wells from April, 1st 2022 to July 9th, 2022.

Fiscal Impact: The Town will receive an additional $5,010 in rental income over the life of the term.
