SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

This grant provides gap funding for the already completed ramp and taxiway rehabilitation project at the Erie Municipal Airport (EIK). While the project was underway several additional areas of concrete degraded and were repaired, which exceeded the contract amount. Senator Hickenlooper’s office provided the 90% federal match through Congressionally Designated Spending (CDS), Colorado Division of Aeronautics (CDOA) provided a 5% match and the Town will provide a 5% match as well. This overall project was successful and over $1 million total.
