SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The 2019 budget includes the purchase of new and replacement Fleet units. The Capital Budget includes purchasing four new SUVs for Patrol, two replacement pickups for Parks for units 315, a 2001 Ford F250 pickup and unit 322, a 2006 Chevy 1500 pickup, one new pickup for Streets and one new van for Facilities.
The Town received the State Bid from Sill-TerHar Motors Inc. for a 2020 Police Ford Interceptors SUV for the Patrol division for $38,530, including options. We've added additional funds to cover freight, delivery and possible additional fees of $3,846. The total projected cost for each SUV is $42,376. These SUVs will take approximately ten months to put in service.
The Town received the State Bid from Sill-TerHar Motors Inc. for a 2019 Ford F250 pickup for the Parks and Streets divisions for $31,630, including options. We've added additional funds to cover freight, delivery and possible additional fees of $3,157. The total projected cost for each pickup is $34,787. These pickups will take approximately eight months to put in service.
