SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Town hosted the first round of stakeholder meetings and public outreach for this project on Thursday May 24th, 2019. That day, staff hosted study sessions, each an hour long, with three different groups: Town staff, property and business owners in Old Town, and residents of Old Town. Staff also had a booth at the Farmers Market the same day to provide information on the project, solicit comments and respond to questions.

One key perspective expressed by attendees of the meetings is that residents and business/property owners want to be more engaged and have additional opportunities to provide their feedback and input during the process. Attached is staff's recommendation on additional outreach activities to ensure concerned stakeholders are fully engaged and aware of events regarding the Historic Old Town Parking and Traffic Analysis and the Moffat Street Bridge.

An updated summary of notes and insights from the stakeholder meetings and updated materials (including updates to the fact sheet that was circulated during the May 24 meetings) will be available in the upcoming weeks. Staff will have ongoing communications with those who attended the May 24 meetings, and will be sending updated materials as they are finalized in an effort to maintain the connection with stakeholders. We are also in the process of scheduling a meeting with the Collier's Hill HOA and setting up an Open House meeting at the Erie Community Center in July. Once staff has confirmed the details and logistics, staff will send advance notice of both meetings to all likely stakeholders.
