SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The property is generally located northeast of the County Line Road and Evans Street intersection. The 8.925 acre property is currently developed with the Public Service Company of Colorado’s power substation. The existing substation has several utility towers and associated equipment structures. The tallest tower on-site is 85 feet in height.
The applicant is proposing a 105 foot telecommunication tower that will contain three 29” tall antennas. The new tower will be located within the fenced area that includes an 8 foot tall concrete fence. The purpose of this non-commercial tower is to provide faster, more efficient service and shorter, better managed outages by connecting the electric grid with new energy devices and technology.
