SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Each year in June, Americans celebrate Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall Riots that took place in June of 1969 and inspired the LGBTQ+ rights movement. Presidents Bill Clinton, Barrack Obama, Donald Trump and Joe Biden have all recognized Pride Month in some manor during their respective administrations. This is the Town of Erie’s second year commemorating Pride Month.
