SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

On May 22, 2019, Barbara Kirkmeyer, Weld County and Boulder County’s appointee to the Town of Erie Urban Renewal Authority, resigned. As suggested in her resignation letter (attached), the Authority’s Executive Director, Malcolm Fleming, contacted Boulder County to solicit Boulder County’s input. In response to that solicitation, the Boulder County Board of County Commissioners designated Commissioners’ Deputy Michelle Krezek to serve as their representative on the Authority and fill the remainder of Barbara Kirkmeyer’s term (see attached letter). Accordingly, staff asks the Authority to approve the attached Resolution accepting and recognizing the appointment of Michelle Krezek to this Authority, to serve as the representative of Boulder County and Weld County. Michelle Krezek’s term will have an expiration date of March 26, 2023.
